This one is one of the earliest animes I remember to watch in my childhood. It’s a 1972 production, directed by Hiroshi Sasagawa. It was, as all animes by that time, a sad adventure of an unfortunate character with plenty of misdeeds, music and some really good scenes. Watch the opening titles in japanese.

Pigloo, a French contraction to “penguin” and “igloo”, is a series of computer animated cartoons to promote music in French television broadcasters. The following is the animation created to a 1980 French song originally recorded by the twin sisters Sophie and Magaly. Well the music kinda sucks, but the animation is pretty cool. The plot tell us the story of an adult penguin which dreams to live on a tropical wasteland. Amusez-vous.

This is the “moment sad song” of the movie. There was always some sort of singing on Kimba, as far as I can remember. I loved this cartoon a lot, and when Disney remade it in the Lion King story, it was a glad surprise to me.
